After eight years behind the steaming Törment kettles, Boa has announced that his engagements elsewhere have forced him to part ways with the boys.

Last week Törment’s gifted drum-and-web android announced his resignation. During his long stint in the band he never failed to show his mettle as a calm and cool eye of the storm in the ever-raging tempest of alcoholism and abuse that surrounded him.

He never flinched though he was exposed to extensive bullying, i.e. his nickname, Ronnie “No Metal” Gamboa. The band now wish to apologize and acknowledge that nickel is in fact a metal, though not the heaviest, nor the sturdiest of all metals.

Boa has stated that henceforth he wishes to be “made of buildings” and has undergone extensive surgery to have all his nickel parts replaced by brick substitutes.

Rumours have it that Boa’s decision to split was the result of his inability to find the band’s new rehearsal room, but this is not true. He wasn’t looking for it. His decision to leave the band has sent him on a soul-searching journey on a train bound for nowhere.
The exact location of nowhere is still unknown, but Boa promises to stay in touch and let us know where nowhere is when he gets there.

He will be sorely missed.

After a rather long snooze, insidioustorment.com is getting a spring cleaning. There is so much stuff on the site already that it can be hard to track it all down. So as you can probably tell the frontpage and the menu has been tweaked to bring forth all of the available Törment online glory. But thats not all! You can now post comments here on the news page! Yea, the dayz of the annoying little guestbook are over. A lot of the old stuff still needs to be uploaded, and stay glued for a few upcoming treats.

Following the release of “The Rock, the Claw and the Steel” the site has a pack of new additions which are more or less related. First the images from the release are here. Danish heavyists Insidiöus Törment celebrate the release of their new EP – The Rock, The Claw and The Steel – in style on Saturday 3rd of June. The venue is Bridgewater Pub, Åboulevarden 22, Århus, Denmark, from 1900 hours and on. The band issues a standing invitation to all metallizers in the area – there’ll be beer and live music from the lads themselves! The guys will perform a mini-concert to commemorate the release and the passing of co-lead guitar-great Gölem, who has sadly departed the band for a career in the Arctic regions. The EP will be out for review soon, and the band is anxious to settle their line-up issues before the up-coming Winter 2006 – Frozen Domination tour.
